Well since the weekend when I wrote our last update we’ve received the first batch of photos from Adam and they are GREAT! We took more photos today, and a video walk though of all of the places so can wait to see and share them with you all.
The vote to help us choose our new main photo from last weeks photo shoot for our 2 bed Nelson Court, Aberdeen self catering place was a resounding victory for 5c, below!

This was my favourite photo instinctively when I first saw them but I was gutted that we didn’t turn the lovely stag print around and instead show the back of it so was worried that the photo frame rear spoiled it! But it didn’t bother the folk who voted so just goes to shows that you should go with your instinct! I’ve always been a bit of a one for detail haha! But folk can generally see the bigger picture! Pun intended.
Nelson Court, King Street 2 bedroom apartment. 10 minutes walk to city centre, beach and Old Aberdeen/Uni
All of the other photos are such an improvement on my camera phone efforts, so I will endeavour to get these amazing new photos uploaded to our website, our Facebook folder, and our third party adverts on the big fish as quickly as I can.
This place, like all of our other 2 & 3 bed apartments, is immediately available so please let anyone you know who may need nice accommodation to get in touch!
And after we moved into double figures of subscribers to our new YouTube channel we ran a vote to choose our new profile photo for our YouTube channel (and likely Facebook and Insta). I’m going to give this until at least tomorrow to pan out as can’t believe the engagement it has generated!
Now we’ve got double figures followers on our YouTube channel (please subscribe if you haven’t already) we need a…

We have had 30 new likes on our page just today!
It is great to get some interest in out little Aberdeen self catering page during these really tough times so we really appreciate all of your interest.
Having 3/4 of you places empty (on a good day!) can be pretty heart breaking when all of the bills still need paid so all of the interest really helps us stay positive So thank you.
I’m not going to preempt the result but so far it’s looking like a straight race between the castles of New Slains and Dunottar (40 minutes to the north and 30 minutes to the south of Aberdeen respectively), with Fyvie (40 minutes west) and Aberdeen Beach vying for third I think.
As I’m trying to showcase Aberdeen on our business page I chose photos of the Aberdeen area’s lovely castles, beaches, and other city buildings.
So this lead me to staying up until 130am this morning starting to develop our Aberdeen Things to do page using the photos I shortlisted for the vote loosely as the basis for this. I’ve wanted to develop this for a long time but its had to wait behind other priorities as is often the case with a family run business (which wants to stay family run…).
I’d love to hear your feedback on the headings so far, and anything else you’d be interested in hearing about.
And tonight, on collecting my daughter from town I decided it was a good opportunity to do a live video to show you around Aberdeen incorporating the proximity of our self catering 2 & 3 bed apartments and 4 bed house to the various parts of town. we started from Golden Square, just off Union Street then headed to South Mount Street, Nelson Court, Clarmeont Street, then finally Airyhall Drive. After ending the first video accidentally, then losing the signal on the second we needed a third video to finish off the tour! But hope you enjoyed it!
Have a great day everyone and stay safe!
Colin.
